How we review products

Our standard

We compare purchase-relevant facts, not treatment outcomes

Back Pain Relief Guide is an editorial affiliate site. We do not diagnose visitors, prescribe products, conduct medical exams, or imply that a consumer product treats the cause of back pain. We have not personally lab-tested the products currently listed.

“Best” means a clear fit for one stated use case among the options reviewed—not the best choice for every body, condition, chair, or home.

The six-step check

  1. Define a narrow comparison. We start with a product role such as broad electric heat or portable seat padding.
  2. Choose meaningfully different formats. We exclude near-duplicates that make a list look larger without improving the decision.
  3. Verify identity. The product name, model, direct Amazon ASIN, maker page, and manual must refer to the same variant.
  4. Record stable specifications. We favor dimensions, power, controls, materials, included parts, care, and warranty—not volatile price or popularity data.
  5. Write the limitation beside the use case.A pick is incomplete without the tradeoff and a reason to skip it.
  6. Apply an age check.Every catalog item carries a verification date. The build fails when that date is more than 90 days old.

Sources

What we rely on

For specifications, we prefer the manufacturer’s product page and exact manual. We use the direct Amazon product page to confirm the exact ASIN and listing identity. For safety and evidence context, we prefer government health resources, professional guidelines, device instructions, and systematic reviews.

Amazon availability and product revisions can change between checks. The exact ASIN and last-checked date appear under each product so readers can verify the current listing themselves.

Editorial independence

Commission never creates a product claim

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Products are included only after the same identity, distinction, safety, and source checks. We do not accept payment for placement in these guides.

This site is editorially reviewed, but it does not currently claim clinician review. A safety note is not a medical certification. Material medical claims would require appropriate professional review before publication.
